Here we have Patrick Li. He’s a YCS 1st timer from Vienna, Austria. We asked him for an interview, because we were curious to find out what made him come to Prague.
Hi Patrick, what made you come to YCS Prague?
Ever since I’m playing Yu-Gi-Oh! I wanted to attend a YCS. Prague is close to Vienna and easy to travel to. So I decided to go here with my friends. I always wanted to play on an international Level, competing with players from other countries. I think I can learn a lot as a player and improve my game. Other than that, I get to know a lot of people I can share my hobby with. I think that’s one of the best features of a YCS.
What Deck are you playing today?
I chose Qliphort as the Deck to go today. It’s the Deck I felt most comfortable with and it has decent Match-Ups against nearly any other Deck right now. My record is X:1 so far so Tops are still within reach. The goal I set myself before the event was to get to day 2. Making the top cut would be great, but I think I can’t expect that.
Tell us something about you?
I started playing competitively around three years ago. I usually attend my locals in Vienna where I’ve been doing well regularly. What I like about Yu-Gi-Oh! the most is the fact that I can share my hobby with my friends. Then there is the trading, the tournaments, etc. It’s just a great way to spend my time.
Any final words?
I’m glad I came here. My friends and I had a great time here in Prague so far. If you have never been to a YCS before, it’s definitely worth the trip!
