Day 2′s Public Events are underway.

[p]The Public Events for Day 2 are just about to get underway here in Lille. As the number of competitors in the main event decreases with each passing round of action, the number of Duelists participating in Public Events rises. Here’s a brief look at the wide array of Public Events that Duelists can participate in.[/p]

More prizes to be given out today!

[br] [p]Just like with Day 1, Day 2 will have Duelist League, Win-A-Mats, Attack of the Giant Card! events and WCQ Regionals. You can check out yesterday’s post for more info on these events. Sealed Play remains the same as yesterday too, comprising of Sealed, Draft and WCQ regional variants.[/p]
[p]The Dragon Duel is one of Day 2’s highlight events. Any Duelist born in the years 2000 and later is eligible to compete in this event, up to a maximum of 128 players. €4 entry grants everybody 1 booster pack as a participation prize, and the highest finishing Duelists will earn invites to the European Dragon Duel Championship, a game mat and Deckbox. The Top 8 (and those with the same points score after Swiss play) will also get 2 more booster packs each.[/p]
[p]Another major event today is the YCS Trial. A total of 256 Duelists are eligible to compete in this event, and many of those who didn’t make it past Day 1 of the main event will try their luck here in the Trial. The winner of the Trial will receive free flights and accommodation to an upcoming European YCS event, with the Top 4 also receiving free entry to said event. The YCS Trial is expected to be quite competitive, so for those Duelists who haven’t made it to Day 2 of the main event but still want to take on Europe’s best. this is the place to be.[/p][br]

The best performing Public Event Duelists can win one of these!

[br] [p]To round the day off, there will be Public Event playoffs that take into account every Public Event that was conducted over the course of the weekend. 2 playoffs with 4 Duelists each will take place. The first is the random Draw playoff, where any Duelist who competed in a Public Event this weekend will have an opportunity to be selected to compete. The best performing Duelists over the course of all this weekend’s Public Events will also face off in their own playoff.[/p]
[p]All 8 of these Duelists will be in with a shot of winning the same YCS prize card ([dig]) as the main event winners, giving them something extra special to take back home with them once this weekend’s action is over.[/p]
[p]Whether you’re competing in the main event or the vast array of Public Events on offer, we wish you the best of luck, and hope you enjoy Day 2 of YCS Lille![/p][br]
