Hi Bernd, tell us why you brought this very unique Deck to YCS Prague?
Usually I play a Madolche variant with Emergency Teleport but felt uncomfortable with it. So I changed my mind on short notice. I decided to run Yosenju because I like the Artworks of the cards and the game mechanic itself. They remind me a lot of the old Spirit monsters therefor being able to avoid tricky cards like Snatch Steal, Raigeki and Nekroz of Trishula for example. Since they rely heavily on Normal Summons you can also main different floodgates like Vanity's Emptiness and Macro Cosmos.
Why do feel the Deck is a good pick for YCS Prague?
Yosenju have enough consistency to get through a long tournament like this. They play 3 Fire Formation - Tenki and 3 Pot of Duality. They are not relying on Special Summoning therefore they cannot be stopped by Vanity's Emptiness and last but not least, they are aggressive enough to finish my opponent off in one single turn. I like their versatility as well as their consistency.
What are your expectations for this event?
I was really unsure what to play for this event. I switched to Yosenju only right before the event so I felt rather unfamiliar with the Deck going into Round 1 of YCS Prague. I had to play Nekroz right now and manage to pull off a victory. I beat him 2:0 and gained a lot of confidence out of it. I want to reach Day 2.
Do have any Tech cards?
I maindeck 2 copies of Banisher of the Radiance as well as Macro Cosmos and Dimensional Fissure. These cards help me to keep Nekroz in check and the Graveyards clean. I’m also playing 3 copies of Mirror Force so I don’t get overrun by my opponent. In my Extra Deck there is one copy of Cairngorgon, Antiluminescent Knight which helps me protect my floodgates and one copy of Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon which applies a lot of pressure on my opponent.
Tell us about your Match-Ups?
The maindeck was built to beat Nekroz. If I face Qliphort or Burning Abyss I have to rely on my Side Deck.
