Hi Philipp, tell us why you brought Qliphort to YCS Rimini?
I decided to run Qliphort, because I think that the Tower version has a great Match-Up against all the decks in the current metagame. I also like the way the deck runs and it also has a lot of side deck options. [q towers] is the best boss monster in the game right now and very few decks play outs to it.

What were you expectations going into this event?
Since it’s my first YCS I want to make to Day 2. That would be great! I already played in Dublin but didn’t make Day 2.

Do have any Tech cards?
I maindeck one [limiter] and I’m really glad I added it before the event. Browsing through my binder I spotted the card and I thought it would be a great addition to the deck. All of my monsters are machine type and I can OTK quite easily with it. From [core] I added [chicken] to get more draws. Even though paying 1000 LPs is quite much it’s worth it. Many players tend to forget the second effect that you don’t get any damage when you are lower on life points. It won me the last game.

Tell us about your Match-Ups?
I have a very good Match-Up against Burning Abyss, because they don’t have any out to [q towers]. The Mirror Match is the most difficult to play due to [wavering]. Whoever has it earlier or more of it wins the game. Last but not least I have the best Match-Up against any rogue decks. [q towers] is just too strong!

Any last words?
I side [v ruler] especially to be prepared for the Mirror Match. As I said before it’s the most difficult Match-Up and I felt like I needed something special to improve my Match-Up. Until now I didn’t, but in theory it’s great! Finally I want to give shoutouts to Moritz Gangl and Mario Walgram whom I playtested with! Thanks for the inputs!
