Deck Feature: Antony Cadogan’s Satellarknights

I met Antony right after Round 10, and is holding a X:2 record right now with Satellarknights. Round 11 will be his bubble match and we asked him for a Deck Feature before he went into this final Round.

[b] Hi Antony, tell us why you brought Satellarknights to YCS Milan? [/b]
[quote]It’s my favourite deck right now, because it suits my style of play. I like to control the board and maintain field presence with a lot of control cards. The release of [sat triv] made the deck a lot stronger, it helps to recycle my permanent traps like [coth] and [oasis] and in the same time I deprive [dante] and the Shaddoll Fusion monsters of their recycling effect; the card is really good.

[b] What are your expectations for this event?[/b]
[quote] I thought I would lose very early in the tournament and drop out to play Public Events. Afterall my first loss was in Round 3 and my second one in Round 9. I’m still holding a very good 8:2 record, with a win in the last Round I still have a chance to reach the Top 32. That’s far more than I had expected, I’m happy with how everything worked out so far. [b] Do have any Tech cards?[/b]
[quote] My deck might look strange at first sight, but I recently changed a few cards prior to this event and those card choices turned out to be correct. I swapped [dust] from the Side to the Main Deck and took out [vane] for it, it really improved my Qliphort Match-Up. I’m maindecking two [sat pro] to cycle through my deck faster and set up my graveyard for an upcoming [coth] play, it makes access to [sat triv] so much easier. Resolving one [sat triv] is usually “game”. One of my favourite opening plays is [sat unu] into [sat den] with three traps in hand, then XYZ summon into [bujin tsu] to draw cards and set up a [coth] play next turn.

[b] Tell us about your Match-Ups?[/b]
[quote] I was really afraid of Qliphorts. I even took out [vane] in favor of three [dust] to take care of [q scout]. Burning Abyss is always hard to beat but with maxed out [mst] I feel pretty well prepared for this Match-Up.[/quote]

[b] Any last words?[/b]
[quote] I’m playing [twister] in my Side Deck instead of [fairy wind], because I prefer an instant out to [vane] and [skill drain], I feel like in my deck it is a lot better![/quote]
