YCS London looks to be a massive event, with so much going on and so many players set to compete in the main event, we have a look at our first Deck Feature: Marcus Shearer!

Marcus will make Carly Rae Jepson proud and call Kristya, maybe?

Marcus is usually Judging at major events such as these so it will be a fun change of pace to see him on the other side of the table! This is his first YCS that he has played in and has an opportunity to shine as a player, hopefully he’s up for the challenge! Here’s what he has to say about his Deck:

[quote]I’m playing an Agents Deck. Using [trooper] to fuel my Graveyard with cards such as [kristya] and [hyperion] so I can then use [coth] to summon these monsters.[/quote]

Without further ado, here is the Decklist:

The Deck itself has a solid theme and a lot of tech to stop opponents from Special Summoning monsters. In a format dominated by Elemental Dragons, this is key to having a Deck that will be competitive. [vane] is one of my favourite little bit of tech in here, although this Deck centers itself around Special Summoning larger monsters, [trooper] can easily get rid of it to allow [hyperion] or [kristya] to hit the field. [kristya] itself is a brilliant card as it has a decent 2700 ATK and stops Special Summoning. Even if you can destroy [kristya], without removing any cards in the Graveyard from play, its secondary effect means it’s coming back next turn!

[hyperion] is an obvious win condition, [trooper] should fill his Graveyard with plenty of Fairy Type Monsters to fuel this powerhouse! [6s] is also an amazing card for this and any Deck, the draw gives massive hand advantage and the drawback if the card fails is negated by the three [coth] and [hyperion] allowing the Special Summon and fueling of this titanic Monster! [orange] is a great advantage too, stopping his opponent dead in their tracks by negating Effect Monsters and putting two more Fairy Types in the Graveyard.

All in all the Deck has a one track mind; Special Summon something big, stop the opponent from gaining board advantage. Solid theory, lets see it in practice!

We wish all the luck to Marcus and hopefully will be seeing him in later rounds!
