After Round 11 I spoke to Fabio Müller. He is 13 years old and the reigning European Dragon Duel Champion! We asked him for a Duelist Profile and he kindly agreed.

Hi Fabio, please tell us what Deck are you playing today?
I decided to take Burning Abyss to this event. It is very consistent and can pull off big combos in one single turn. One of my favourite combos is [tour] and [fire lake], it’s a good set up and I feel pretty safe with it.
What were your goals heading into this event?
Day 2 was my goal for Milan. I finished Swiss with a 7:2:2 record and I’m very pleased with it. It’s also the first time I’m playing the Main Event. Previously I was competing in the Dragon Duel, I’m also proud to tell you that I’m the reigning European Dragon Duel Champion and played at the World Championship this year.
Was it any different playing in the Main Event?
Yes, it does make a big difference, the tournament lasts a lot longer. You have stay focused for 11 Rounds and the Duels seemed a lot tighter. The higher the Round the stronger my opponents became, it was really challenging.
Why did start playing the [ygotcg]?
Me and a friend of mine went to the flea market, we bought some [ygo] TCG cards and that’s how it all started. I’m playing for 3 years now and I’m still getting better with every event I attend. I also found a lot of friends throughout the years, some are really close to me, we are always having a lot of fun.
[abstand]
After the interview I talked to Fabio’s father and he told me that he likes to support his son as much as possible. He noticed how much he can learn from the game and how good it is for his mental development. He seemed very proud to me of his son’s achievements!
