Hi Michael, what made you come to YCS Bochum?
Ever since I started playing [ygo] I wanted to attend a big event like a YCS. I already wanted to go to Prague, but couldn’t make it due to school issues, I had to study a lot. Now I had the time to come here and play my first YCS.

It’s a great experience, I always wanted to see how I will perform in a long event like this. Will I be able to stay focused? Can I keep up with all the good players here? Locals are fine, but they can’t provide the challenge and the atmosphere of a YCS.

What Deck are you playing today?
I brought my Nekroz Deck to Bochum. I wanted to test it and see how I will do with it. It’s difficult to play, because it’s also the most versatile deck. I won my first two matches in a row. Both were mirror matches. In Round 3 I had to face a Shaddoll Deck and it was a tight Game 3, he won due to [bls]. It’s a little disappointing to me, but I’m pleased with my performance so far.

Tell us something about you?
I started playing [ygo] in school. It was more of a hobby and I only played with friends at home. In 2013 I found my old cards again and we started playing again, this time on a more competitive level. It’s the competition, the thinking on how to make the best out of a given situation that keeps me involved. I also like to win and learn how to play my deck by heart.

Any final words?
I want to send greetings to my friend Philipp Gastberger who wanted to come here with me. Unfortunately he couldn’t make it. I’m a lonesome fighter today but I’m happy to be here. My goal is to make it to Day 2!
