Well, this is going to be the story of the Play-Off. After finishing first in points and traveling to almost every event available in Europe and the States (even though those don’t count anymore) Raffael Neven almost had to bury his dream of going to Worlds. He was grinding all year for points and a single loss almost set a halt to his pursuit.
But he was able to mount a comeback and earn his invite at the playoff for 3rd place. He kept his focus and beat Dinh-Kah Bui at the Last Chance Qualifier. Overall, Raphael was the fan favorite and finally made it Worlds for the first time. Here’s what he came up with!

Ladies and Gentleman, boys and girls at home, we would like to present you the Top 8 Duelists during the 2018/19 season. These Duelists fought hard to get where they are now. They played tons of events to earn enough points to take port in this Play-Off. In the end it was really close between the 1st and 2nd seed and 8th and 9th place. Dinh-Kha Bui sneeked into the Play-Offs by becoming 8th and knocking Thomas Rose out of the race. However, all of the grinded the whole year long and their success is well-deserved!
