Final Feature Match: Michel Grüner vs. Eden Zamir

It all came down to this! After 11 rounds of Swiss and 4 more rounds in the knock out portion of the tournament, only 2 players were left who had a shot at writing history as the first winner of a Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series held in Europe. The two most successful players of this weekend were Michel Grüner, a former German National Champion, playing X-Sabers and the home advantage on his side. To progress from a field of almost 1300 Duelists yesterday morning to the final 2, that’s what both of these competitors are hoping to achieve today. Let’s ask him how he prepared for the tournament and what he’s thinking about his performance.

Feature Match Top 8: Ron Fiedler vs. Christos Anestakis

The Feature Match in the Top 8 was between Ron Fiedler from Germany and Christos Anestakis from Greece. Fiedler was playing a Machina Gadget, Anestakis belonged to the major part of the tournament: He played X-Sabers. The two Duelists didn’t feel like chatting a lot, they seemed to want to proceed as fast as possible. Fiedler liked the 6 he rolled, however Anestakis had a 6 too. Ironically, Fiedler lost the second die roll so that Anestakis could start the Match. (more…)
