First Look at the Public Events

[p]I expected to stop by at the Public Events registration and get told that they would need some more time to really get going. I was shocked when they shot right back: “We’re about to start Win-A-Mat #8!”[br]
Considering that the Public Events registration just opened something like 1,5 hours ago, it looks like this will be a busy weekend for all the volunteers helping out in Hall A, so let’s sit down and have a quick chat with our volunteers helping out there!

[p]Markus Kölsch is serving as scorekeeper at the Public Events registration and has a good overview of what’s hot. Asked about the most popular events today, he instantly replied that the Win-A-Mat events are obviously the main attraction today.

Soon, we’ll also start an Attack of the Giant Card event, one of today’s highlights. Instead of our 3 Attack of the Giant Card events we typically had at past YCS events, we’ll hold a whopping 6 (!) this weekend!

[p]Even though the Attack of the Giant Cards are guaranteed to attract a lot of players, the most interesting Public Event this weekend is probably the YCS Trial. To celebrate the 100th Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series in Long Beach, we’re handing out a free flight and accomodation for one of the most prestigious events all year!

Dragon Dueling

[nbsp][p]
On top of all that, we also offer a tournament for our up and coming superstars! Tomorrow, we’ll hold the Dragon Duel Championship where players age 13 and under can hone their skills and grab some cool prizes! Some of them are sure to make an impact at future YCS, so better keep a closer eye on them.
[/p][p]
If you’re more into some casual gaming, we also offer the Duelist League for you. Here, Duelists can freely pick their opponents to make the most of their time and only play the most exciting matches. Once they have played enough opponents, they can hand in their Duelist League card for a random promotional card. If they finish first, they can even pick a card of their choice!
