More Hidden Arsenal packs available this Summer!

If you look at any Extra Deck today you’re likely to see a certain Level 9 monster in there amongst mainstays like [sdd], [scrap d] and [brio]. [trish] is one of the most powerful Synchro Monsters around and ever since its release in [ha04] Duelists have been banishing cards left and right with its amazing effect. Not everybody was able to pick up the fearsome Ice Barrier monster first time round so this Summer there’s a second chance to get your hands on it (as well as 2 great Variant cards) in [hase].

Trishula's so cool it's frozen over!

[hase] contains 3 packs of [ha04] as well as one of 2 promotional cards: [emmers] or [pine]. In the all-monster booster set you’ll find [trish] of course, as well as Dragunity, Genex, Naturia, Ice Barrier and The Fabled monsters, to name a few. [birdman]'[s] been a popular tech choice in several decks, and can combo well with [tengu] to set up easy Level 7 Synchro Summons. “The Fabled” monsters work well with regular Fabled cards (as well as Dark World support cards) and the Deck won the Italian National Championship this year in the hands of Fabio Minicozzi. [landoise] is a strong Synchro monster in its own Deck but has also found a home in the Extra Decks of Six Samurai Duelists, where it’s just as easy to Summon. As seen by the success of [veiler], the ability to negate monster effects is very important these days, and [lando] can cause lots of problems for opposing Duelists.

With Emmersblade now easier to obtain, more people can build X-Sabers!

As well as the 3 packs of [ha04], every [hase] comes with either [emmers] or [pine], 2 cards that are vital to their Deck types, but not the easiest cards to find! [emmers] can Special Summon pretty much any monster you see in X-Saber Decks (except for [faultroll]) and is a great monster to Set on your opening turn. If your opponent doesn’t attack it, you can set up a Synchro Summon (and a potential [faultroll] combo) next turn, and if they do you can do it anyway, while also getting just the monster you need (often [darksoul]) to be certain of victory.

[pine] is a handy card to have in Naturia Decks, where it can set up a Tribute Summon for [bamboo], the Deck’s signature card. Whenever you control no Spell or Trap Cards you can Special Summon [pine] during your Standby Phase from your Graveyard, but only if you don’t have any non-Plant-Type or Beast-Type monsters in your Graveyard. Also, when [pine]'[s] on the field, every monster you control becomes a Plant-Type, which means you can Tribute them for [lonefire]'[s] effect, Summon [tyt] (which you can find in [gld4]), and then Tribute them for her effect also!

[hase] will be available across Europe from next week so if you missed out on [trish], are looking for more cards for your Fabled/Dragunity etc. Decks, or just want easy access to [emmers] and [pine], be sure to look out for it!
