Player Interview – YCS Champion Peter Mitro
Congratulations to our newest YCS Sydney Champion, Peter Mitro! We managed to get a short interview with Peter after the awards ceremony. Read on to learn about the Champion’s favourite cards and plays from the event!
First off, let’s start with your name and a bit of background information.
“I’m Peter Mitro, I’m 19, and I live in Sydney, Australia.”
What was your your favourite play from this weekend?
“It was in the semifinal match against Jackson Spadaro. I used [a dure]’s effect to change [tour]’s effect into destroying a Spell/Trap Card. He chained [bts] to negate Durendal’s effect, but I used [el shd fus] to remove Durendal from the field and prevent [bts] from negating it!”
What was the most important card in your Deck over the event?
“The most important card was definitely [a sanc]. It’s powerful because of its ability to stop any strategy or play before they can set up properly.”
Now that you’ve won the YCS, what’s next for you?
“I’m going to try and win as many regional tournaments as possible, and then hopefully the National tournament too!
Anything else you’d like to say?
“Not really, but thanks for the event and I hope there’s another YCS soon!”
Thank you Peter Mitro for agreeing to be interviewed, and congratulations on your YCS win!Back to all news
