It all felt like it was happening so fast. I participated in the National Championship in Singapore and became the new Champion!

I think you have to be patient and be able to think around corners at times. If you can pull off the big and creative moves, you’ll often have the upper hand!

The country is rather different – the food, the buildings, even the restrooms. It’s all very exciting!

I won the National Championship of the Philippines with a Six Samurai Deck. I think I got lucky in the finals against Ray Vincent Lim as his Ancient Angel Deck almost locked me down, but he overextended in game 1 and I could outswarm him in game 2!

In my opinion, it’s a mix of skill, confidence (which I lack a little) and luck.

[p]How do you like Amsterdam so far?
[/p][p]
It’s great! It’s very chilly here and the streets are very clean. It feels very unique with all the canals and the boats!

[p]What do you like the most about the card game?[/p]
[p]
It’s very exciting – you never know what to expect. I lost to a deck a little earlier I really didn’t expect for this tournament.
[/p]
[p]Who’s crossing their fingers for you right now?[/p]
[p]
I want to give a shout out to all the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelists from the Philippines and the Six Samurai supporters around the world that are active in the message boards!

I came in 5th with Tengu Plants. Unfortunately, I’m the only representative of Canada, but I’m holding the flag high! Sam was the only player who beat me on day 2 of the World Championship Qualifier, so I hope I will remain undefeated this weekend!

You have to overcome a lot of strong competition, so try to be professional, always be cautious, know as many good cards as possible!

I think it’s a nice city. It seems to be quiet so I like it a lot!

[p]What do you like the most about the card game?[/p]
[p]
If you lose 1 game, you still have a chance to make a comeback! Turning a match around is what really makes the game for me, it’s so exciting!

[p]Do you want to greet some friends?[/p]

I want to thank the rest of team North America for being awesome as well as all my friends from Dollys and the local store 401 Games for supporting me!

I was running Machinas at the South American World Championship Qualifier. It’s a strong answer to Tengu Plant as I had 3 [gozen] in my Side Deck and a lot of Attack Power in my main deck! I went on to win the whole event!

[p]What does it take to make it to the World Championship?[/p]
[p]
It takes a lot of dedication! There are many players with the ability to take it off, but I sometimes think they don’t give it their all and that’s why they’re losing to other more motivated Duelists!

I’ve always liked cities with a lot of water in them. It’s a little like Venice and I love the feeling – I would love to live here!
