Public Events and Dragon Duel at the YCS Milan

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH offers many exciting activities during those two days, namely a feature match area where you can watch the top Duels of the main event, and a wide selection of Public Events, ranging from casual to highly-competive events. Many of those events are free of charge and offer Booster Packs or Turbo Packs as participation prizes, and you shouldn’t miss the chance to Duel in at least one of them!

One of the most important Public Events is the Dragon Duel event, where Duelists born 1997 or later can compete for the title and for cool prizes. No prior qualification is necessary, so take your chance to Duel against players from across Europe! The Dragon Duel event starts at 11:00 on Sunday and has an entry fee of EUR 3,-.

There will also be “ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!” events in Milan. They are 32-player single-elimination events, and the winner will walk away with an oversized Yu-Gi-Oh! card, appx. 1 meter high!

A maximum of six events will be offered, with the following six cards being available: Obelisk The Tormentor, Formula Synchron, Scrap Dragon, Naturia PineappleDewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier, and Drill Warrior.

Another highlight will take place on Sunday: At the “YCS Trial”, Duelists get the chance to win flight and accomodation to one of 2011’s European Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series. This Trial event will hold a maximum of 256 players who will duel in Swiss-style rounds for this exciting prize! Start time for the YCS Trials is Sunday, 9:30.

Apart from those individual events, there will be 8-player knockout tournaments, Duelist League events, and 16-player Win-a-Mat tournaments (while supplies last) all weekend long, and a special 3-player team event on Saturday.

If you win any Public Event on Saturday, you will, in addition to the regular prizes, win a qualification to Sunday’s “King of Public Events” tournament. This event offers additional Turbo Pack 4 boosters  to the participants, and a Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series gamemat for the winner!

You see, attending the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series will be a blast for everyone – even if you don’t want to play in the main event, you are very welcome to drop by and celebrate your favourite trading card game with Duelists from all across Europe!
