Public Events: ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!!

27.04.2013 | 20:36 |

Giant cards are always a huge attraction to the Public Events at every YCS, and this time is no exception. With some great new cards to choose from, I’d like to introduce you to the first Giant Card winner of the weekend, Leo Giner!

Travelling to the YCS from Paris was a short trip for Leo Giner and his friends, which is useful as he now won’t have far to carry his brand new [h chan] back home!

Giner’s Water deck, which uses cards like [a teus], [a leed], [a megalo] and [squall] to overwhelm the opponent, had to battle through 5 gruelling rounds of knockout play to claim his oversized prize.

What decks did you have to play against on your road to victory?
Giner:
“I played against a Frog Monarch, a Six Samurai, a Fire Fist, a Deck using [rabbit] with [macro] and a Heiratic Deck. Fire Fist was the toughest matchup but I managed to win as my monsters have a lot of attack!”
What do you plan on doing with the card?
My friend has a store back in Paris and we are going to keep it there on the wall!
Will you play in more of the Public Events tomorrow?
Yes, I plan on playing in the YCS Trial event and will also be going to the [ec13] to try and win a place at the World Championship!
Giner taking the [h chan] means that there’s still a [sack] up for grabs – check back tomorrow to see who will win the first Attack of the Giant Card Public Event of the day!
