QQ: Create your own Forbidden & Limited List

Although it’s still July, one of the hottest topics on Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG forums all over the world is the upcoming List of Forbidden and Limited Cards. We asked some players on site what they thought about which cards should make a comeback from being Forbidden and what other changes they would like to see applied to the list.

Are there any cards that you would like to see limited instead of forbidden?

Luka Sterbic: I think Graceful Charity should make a comeback.

Dav Taylor: I would like to have [ccv] back. That’s it!
Sascha Hahn: I think all forbidden cards are on the list for a reason!

Fabio Minicozzi: Dark Hole and [ccv] should be allowed again (1 copy per deck).

Francesco Liuzzi: I think Ring of Destruction and [ccv] should be back.

The most popular choice for cards that should make a comeback was [ccv]. It can punish very offensive decks that play too many strong monsters and can therefore be a solid answer to Monarchs or anti decks. X-Saber players would get stripped off [airbellum], [faultroll] and [bogknight] as well as all the Synchro Monsters. Therefore, [ccv] would be able to shake up the current metagame quite a bit. Another interesting choice is Dark Hole, which can punish Duelists that overextend and bring out all their strong monsters before they’re able to finish their opponents.

Which other changes would you like to see for the List of Forbbidden and Limited Cards?
Luka Sterbic: [cat] should be banned. Charge of the Light Brigade should be semi-limited and [stardust] should be limited to 1 copy per deck.

Ruben Lima: [cat] should be forbidden. [faultroll] should be limited to 1 copy per deck and [darksoul] semi-limited. [launcher] should be limited to 1 copy per deck and Infernity Warrior to 2 copies per deck.

Dav Taylor: Forbid [launcher] and [cat]! [faultroll] could also be semi-limited to 2 copies per deck and [archfiend] limited to 1. Oh, and Mass Driver should be forbidden as well to further hinder OTK and FTK decks!

Sascha Hahn: [cat] and [brain] should be forbidden. [brain] can just be unfair as you’re about to win a game, your opponent topdecks [brain] and he can still turn it all around. [launcher] should be limited to 1 copy per deck and [treeborn] too. [darksoul] was also rather annoying today, I think it should also be limited.

Fabio Minicozzi: I would like to see [faultroll] and [treeborn] on 1.
Fabio Minicozzi: Forbid [brain].

[cat] was the most popular pick for a card that should be forbidden. Before it was limited, the [cat] fueled a theme deck that relied heavily on Synchro Summons and Duelists have found ways to include the card in other top decks as well.

[faultroll] and [darksoul] were other popular choices as well as some of the key cards for Infernity decks like [launcher].
