QQ: What would you have played in the World Championship?

[p]The [wc] uses a special Forbidden and Limited Cards list to ensure that all competitors are on a level playing field. While watching the Matches on the big screen many people here have given their opinions on what they would play had they qualified for the main event, and here’s a few of those![/p]

[p]I’d play Scraps because it’s not affected by “the list” and is still very strong. Many Duelists used Doppel Junk which is a good matchup for this Deck. I could also Summon Level 8 Synchro Monsters very easily, [stardust], [scrap d] and [tra] are all very strong cards against most Decks. [roach] and [39] are also easy to Summon as most of the Scrap Deck’s cards are Level 4.[/p][/quote]

[p]Samurai is the obvious choice because it’s not affected by the Forbidden and Limited cards list, but it’s a difficult choice to make at the same time. The Deck is good but the real question is whether you should play that Deck or play a Deck that beats it, because I assume that everybody would be doing one or the other. If you’re not used to playing the Deck you might have trouble in the mirror-matches. That being said the Agent Deck is very popular in Asia as well, and it raises the same question that Samurai does since quite a few will play it. Gadgets are another strong Deck and can beat both of the above, but the choice here is whether to play an Anti-Meta build or the Xyz version with [b]Ultimate Offering[/b].[/p][/quote]

[p]I would have gone with Anti-Summon, as most Decks win with Monsters and rely on them heavily. [tkr], [dyna] and [dck] can stop almost everything, and [bth], [warning] and [dprison] handle the rest. It’s a consistently reliable deck that’s capable of stopping both the top Decks like Samurai, as well as other Anti-Meta decks. It also has the ability to frustrate my opponents, causing them to make more mistakes against me![/p][/quote]

[p]I’d have loved to play Dragunities as it’s my favourite Deck, but [phalanx] is the key card in the Deck and not available to play in the [wc]. Six Samurai would be my other choice, since [shi en] can negate all the cards that would cause the Deck any trouble.[/p][/quote]
