Quick Player Profiles

[p]I wanted to try something new today. In order to show you how diverse the field at a larger scale tournament like the YCS is, I introduce to you some quick player profiles. Basically, I just checked out different corners of the venue asking Duelists where they were from and whether they had a great time.

[b]Where are you from?[/b] We’re from the Netherlands, but we currently live in Belgium.

[b]What Decks are you running this weekend?[/b] Danique is running Chaos Dragons and Quinten is relying on Dark Worlds. Andrea is taking a break this time.

[b]What’s the best part of a larger event like a YCS?[/b]
[/p][p]
[b]Danique:[/b] There are lots of opponent’s with different backgrounds and I enjoy meeting new people from different countries![br]
[b]Quinten:[/b] There are a lot more younger Duelists, which means I don’t have to go up against older Duelists all day long.

[b]What’s been your highlight this weekend?[/b]
[/p][p]
[b]Danique and Quinten:[/b] We look forward to playing in the Dragon Duel tournament which will be underway shortly!

[b]What Deck are you running this weekend?[/b]
[/p][p]
I played Dino Rabbit in the Main Event, but didn’t do so well and I’m now trying my luck with Six Samurai!

[b]What’s the best part of a larger event like a YCS?[/b]
[/p][p]
I enjoy meeting players from different countries, making new friends and trading with them. It’s a rather unique experience in my opinion!

[b]What’s been your highlight this weekend?[/b]
[/p][p]
We had a decent time Friday evening, playing each other in the hotel. It was a group mostly made up of Swiss Duelists, but we also met two Danish players, one of whom advanced to Day 2, so I guess it paid out to practice!

[b]Sascha:[/b] It’s great meeting so many friends again that you’ve got to know over the course of years![br]
[b]Jan-Hendrik:[/b] It’s actually my first time, so I can’t quite tell yet. I’m having a blast so far, though.

[b]What’s been your highlight this weekend?[/b]

[b]Sascha:[/b] I fell a little short of my own expectations, so I have to stress meeting friends once again.
[br][b]Jan-Hendrik:[/b] It’s my first YCS and it’s the largest event in Europe of all time! So that’s a huge win in my book!

My opponents came from various countries, so it never got boring. This is definitely the best part of a larger event – the international appeal!

I’ve met some of my friends that I played Yu-Gi-Oh! Online with for the first time in person!
