Quick Question: How do you feel about the new Forbidden & Limited List?

Only a week ago, we received a Forbidden & Limited List! Firewall Dragon got hit, finally. The list also addressed a few other problematic cards. Here’s what Duelists at YCS Milan think about the new list.

Andraz

How do you feel about the new Forbidden & Limited List?
Andraz: I think that we all are happy that Firewall Dragon is gone. Even though there are still problematic cards around. FTK Decks like RhongoBongo tend to discourage Duelists from the game. Also, the Gumblar OTK is a problem, where you discard the entire hand. They don’t allow the player going 2nd to actually play the game.

How do you feel about the new Forbidden & Limited List?
Vito: I feel like this list didn’t do enough. I also understand that it was the right move before the YCS. So, I guess Konami did what they could do. Still, my opinion is that Isolde, Gumblar and Sorceress should be banned.
There are a lot of cards on the list that should be unlimited, like Tribe-Infecting Virus and Inzektor Hornet for example. I think they should a full reset of the whole list. It is outdated. There are far stronger cards in the current metagame.

Michél: I think the new list helped to bring a lot of Duelists back to the game. Firewall was a huge problem, the card made huge Turn 1 plays possible single-handedly. On the other hand, I had wished for a few more banned cards like Number 86: Heroic Champion - Rhongomyniad and Gumblar, because both of them serve as proper enablers for FTK Decks.

Lucas

How do you feel about the new Forbidden & Limited List?
Lucas: I think that it is good, but it could be better. There are still some FTK Decks that are a big problem for the format. By limiting certain cards Konami could address the problem, but I really like the metagame right now.

Alesso

How do you feel about the new Forbidden & Limited List?
Alesso: I think that some cards can get unlimited like in the OCG. For example, Shurit, Strategist of the Nekroz and Infernity Archfiend are important puzzle pieces for their specific archetype. By unlimiting those cards the archetypes become playable again, but the Decks are not as strong as they used to be. I know a lot of people that would really like to play Nekroz again at full force, but they can’t.
