Quick Questions: How did you get here?

Registration is still running wild and we see hundreds of players pouring in through the front doors, making this yet another gigantic tournament! I sat down with some Duelists that were eagerly awaiting the start of the event, asking them some Quick Questions how they got here in the first place and how they prepared for the tournament.

Aslan Oktay, Cyril Franz, Alexandre Pousset, Jonathan Fradet and Nicolas Bernon came from the center of France!
Alexandre: We’re from the centre of France and we drove here by car.
What are your expectations for the weekend and how did you prepare?
Aslan: We hope that we can all reach day 2 and one of us will end up winning the tournament!

Nicolas: We have been testing for a long time together so we feel confident with our deck choices!
Mohamed Habib, Roberto Santoro, William Gesi and Alessio Staffini didn't have to travel far!

How did you get here this weekend and what are your expectations?
Alessio: We’re all from Lodi, near Milan. The town is mostly famous for cheese. We drove here this morning, so we had to get up at 6 am and we got here like an hour ago, so that’s all good.

Mohamed: Since we’re living somewhat close, we didn’t book a hotel for the night, so we can drive back later. If all of us finish above our expectations (which aren’t too high), we might reconsider.

Roberto: We didn’t test too much. Alessio just got into the game again one month ago; he used to play it like 5 years ago. So that’s why our expectations are not that high.
How did you get here this weekend and what are your expectations?
Paolo: We’re from Brescia. We drove here together in groups.

I’m mostly here to have fun, meet some new people and maybe trade some cards. My friend Paolo on the other hand is pretty well prepared, so he might end up making Day 2.

Everybody tested together in our local shop Playtime, so I think they are all up to the challenge this weekend.
You guys mentioned you didn’t have to travel far?
Florian: We’re all from Grenoble, France, which is somewhat close to the Swiss border. We drove here together by car, it took us around 3 hours.
[nbsp]
Do you think any of you will make Day 2 this weekend?
Tony: Truth be told, we don’t quite know what to expect; we don’t want to answer this question. ;-)

Louka: We tried out a number of different decks, so we feel somewhat confident. Two of us are running Elemental Dragons, but we also got a Dark World and a Traptrix Deck in competition this weekend!
So there you have it. Players travelled wide and far to make it to the return of the YCS to Italy after its 3 year hiatus and we can’t wait to kick things off in spectacular fashion in just a few minutes!
