Round 4: Vincent Ngo (Gravekeepers) vs. Daniel Jackson (Spirits)

Round 4 begins with a bang and it’s the mighty Gravekeepers versus the spirits! Will Vincent Ngo call the ghostbusters or will Daniel Jackson wreak havoc?!

Jackson lists his achievements in his feature matches attempting to psych out Ngo and asks for a shout out to his buddies Rick Cherry, Simon Dewhurst and Alistar Borman.

Ngo wins the roll and goes first.

Ngo starts off with full force and plays [gk com] and gets [necrovalley] to hand. He Summons [tkr] and sets two [fd] [sts] cards.

Jackson plays it cool and tutts as he sets a card, the Britishness shining bright in his turn.

Ngo plays [allure], Normal Summons [gk des] and attacks! [trag] hits the field and is destroyed by [itomb].

Jackson sets a monster and two [fd] [sts].

Ngo attacks with [gk des] into [nikitama] and then attacks directly.

[mst] slams [necrovalley]. Jackson Special Summons [bls] who is destroyed by [tkr]. [gk des] attacks and is stopped by [fiendish].

Jackson sets one and ends.

Ngo plays [pod] and gets [gk com] to hand, discarding him to bring [necrovalley] to hand. He plays [necrolley] and [stele] get two [gk com] to hand. He summons one and it is [sw]ed. Ngo plays [lance] on [gk des] and Jackson scoops.

No banter is being exchanged in between the games. I’d like to say this was because they were concentrating on their Side Deck’s but it’s more because Jackson is eating a packet of crisps, showing his ‘apparent’ disinterest and making Ngo nervous!.

Jackson goes first and plays [upstart]. He throws down a [fd] [st].

Ngo plays [necrovalley] and [gk com] saunters onto the field. He attacks and is met with a [trag]! Ngo sets four [fd] [sts]. He keeps asking about Jackson’s hand, I think he’s got a plan to get rid of [trag]!

[trag] is set to attack mode and attacks straight into a [mf]. The [trag] is tributed for a [ddv] though. Jackson sets three and ends.

Ngo gets to keep his [gk com] this round and discards it for [necrovalley]. [gk com] attacks directly! “It’s yours!” Ngo declares happily.

Jackson plays [cd] and [mst] on the [necrovalley]. He attacks with [cd] but a [lance] takes him out.

Ngo plays another [necrovalley] and attacks! [fiendish] makes short work of [gk com]! Ngo sets one and ends.

Jackson sets one [fd] [st] and ends.

Ngo follows suit.

Jackson Special Summons [ev mand] and [nikitama]. He overlays and brings out [kotfi]. He activates his effect and [itomb] is chained. [7tools] stops that and a [kage2] is brought to hand.

Ngo sets one [fd] Monster and rests his head on his hands.

Jackson uses [kotfi]’s effect and Ngo chains [fiendish].

“YATTA!” shouts Ngo as he Flip Summons [recruiter] who is banished with [bth]. He summons [gk des] and [tt] is chained. Ngo grunts and takes back his previous statement. He activates [lance] on [gk com] and attacks.

Jackson plays [upstart] and sets one [fd] [st].

Ngo plays [bom] on [gk com] and flips it face-up, attacking for game!
