The Deck & Duelist Breakdowns of YCS Leipzig

[p]It’s time for a stat attack! Over 1,100 Duelists competed in the main event here at YCS Leipzig, and here’s a look at who they were and what they were playing![/p]

[br]
[p]Here’s the overall Duelist breakdown for the event. First off, any country with less than 10 Duelists is represented by the “Other” category. This group includes Duelists from all over Europe, as well as 1 Japanese and 1 South American Duelist. There’s also 1 well-known Duelist from the USA here today; Alistar Albans enjoyed YCS Brighton so much that he’s crossed the Atlantic again to compete here in Leipzig, talk about commitment! As for the general statistics, it’s no surprise that the home country is best represented, with neighbouring Austria and Switzerland also sending many over.[/p]

[p]The Deck breakdown is a little more straightforward. Dino Rabbit is the most popular as it’s been around since before Christmas. Inzektors and Wind-Ups are proving how popular [orcs] is with Duelists, and recent YCS successes have shown that Six Samurai and T.G. can do well on the big stage, and they’re well-represented as well. The “Other” category as always is quite interesting. There’s quite a few Chain Burn decks in there, some Karakuri, and we even spotted a Fortune Lady Deck when going through the lists. Some pure Evol Decks in there too, which can Summon Evolzar Xyz Monsters without [rabbit].[/p]

[p]We’ll review these numbers again tomorrow when the Top 32 is known, and it’ll be interesting to see what’s coming out on top at the end of this exciting format![/p]
