Pracht’s 1 wasn’t quite enough to match Renner’s 3. That meant that the finalist of the YCS Leipzig would be allowed to go first.

Pracht had [w rabbit] and that was fine with Renner. It attacked [tgu] and Renner thought about that for a bit, but he eventually thought it was OK. Pracht Set a back row card and and.

Pracht [ns]ed [w rat]. He also [ss]ed [w shark], used it with [w rabbit] to Xyz Summon [w maity], but Renner had [bth]. [w rat] brougth back [w rabbit], both were then used to Xyz Summon [zenmaines] and he sent it into [saurus]. [prison] from Renner banished that Xyz Monster as well! Pracht Set a Spell or Trap and ended.

[sangan] took a direct shot and it connected. [saurus] followed suit, which left Pracht with 2200 Life Points. [tgu] was [ns]ed in [mp] 2, Renner searched his Deck for another copy and Pracht responded with [tt]. This allowed Renner to search his Deck thanks to [sangan]'[s] effect. He picked [rabbit].[br]
Renner continued with the big plays, now activating [poa] to draw into 2 new cards! Maybe one of the reasons why he didn’t fear [tt]. He Set a second Spell or Trap and play was back to Pracht.

Renner [ns]ed and Tributed [rabbit] for its own effect. This got him 2 [kabaz]. He attacked into [reaper] and in [mp] 2, he Xyz Summoned [papi] to the field. He Set a Spell or Trap and ended.

Pracht drew into [storm]! He activated it, causing the crowd to go wild for the first time, followed it up with [w rat], brought back [w rabbit] and together they Xyz Summoned [w maity]! Its effect (detaching [w rabbit]) got him a second [w rat] from his Deck, which brought back [w rabbit] once again. Both were then used to Xyz Summon [temtempo], its effect helped it to strike down [papi], a direct attack by [w maity] followed and that concluded the comeback for Pracht.

Renner had [tgu] and he [ss]ed [sangan] from his Deck. [leviair] came out, which brought back [rabbit], which helped Renner to [ss] 2 copies of [saurus] from his Deck. He went for [maestro] and the following attacks left Pracht with no field.

By now, both players were extremely familiar with the mirror match, so it didn’t take them long to exchange cards between Decks. Pracht wanted to go first the second Duel, so let’s see if that would make the difference.

Pracht kicked things off with [w rabbit] and [w shark] followed. Renner used [maxx] to draw a card. Pracht Set 3 Spells or Traps and ended the turn.

[saurus] was [ns]ed on Renner’s first turn and it attacked over [w shark]. He also had 3 face-down Spells or Traps and ended. [decree] in the End Phase would give Pracht some more security the following turn.

[w rat] was [ns]ed and Renner used [bom] to flip it face-down. Or rather he wanted to, as Pracht chained [w rabbit]'[s] effect to banish it. [reborn] brought back [w shark] and together, both monsters were used to Xyz Summon [17]. One of the materials got detached, but Renner discarded [veiler]. It atatcked anyway, but a [lance] in Renner’s back row made sure he would keep [saurus]!

Renner had 2 cards after he drew for his turn and he went for his Extra Deck. With [reborn] and [lance] and no additional monsters in his own Grave, he certainly couldn’t go for an Evolzar. He activated [reborn], targeting Pracht’s [w shark]. It attacked, an attack with [saurus] followed and that left Pracht with 4300 Life Points. Both monsters were then used to Xyz Summon [utopia]. Renner Set a Spell or Trap and that concluded the turn.

Pracht’s [w rat] came back. He used its effect to bring back [w rabbit] from his Graveyard and he used both monsters to Xyz Summon [w maity]. This got him another [w rat], he used it to return [w rabbit] once again, we saw another [w maity] making an appearance and yet another [w rat].[br]
[w rabbit] came back and together with [w rat], it helped Pracht add [temtempo] to the field. He used its effect, detaching 1 of [utopia]'[s] materials ([w shark]) and he ended the turn with 1 card in hand.

“[temtempo] is really the game breaking card here!”, Pracht admitted. [utopia] declared an attack into [w maity] and Pracht lost his Xyz Monster. Renner Set a Spell or Trap and ended. Before Pracht entered his turn, he used [temtempo]'[s] effect to detach another of [utopia]'[s] materials.

Christoph Pracht got close, but he couldn’t find a way to deal enough damage in the last 2 turns of the match to walk away victorious. Fabian Renner on the other hand seems to be in better shape than ever, so we might see him in the final once again!
