[p]Top 16! UK’s Simon He faces off against Germany’s Schmidt as Wind-Ups take on Dino Rabbit! The winner goes onwards to the Top 8 so let’s get right to it![/p]

Schmidt used [smash] to destroy [kabaz] and then [w rabbit] was Summoned and attacked directly. Schmidt Set 2 Spells or Traps, and lost one of them ([mst]) to He’s copy in the End Phase.

He passed on his turn, making no plays.

Schmidt Summoned [tour] and he Chained [maxx]. Schmidt Summoned [sangan] and attacked with all 3 monsters. Schmidt Set another Spell/Trap to finish.

He considered his options and flipped [storm]! Schmidt Chained [book], targeting [sangan], and He Chained [lance] as 6 Spells and Traps were destroyed. He Summoned [rabbit] and then 2 [kabaz]. Schmidt banished [w rabbit] to protect it. [kabaz] destroyed Tour Guide, and the other took down [sangan].

Schmidt added [maxx] to his hand, which was discarded at the start of [mp2]. He Summoned [laggia] anyway and Set a Spell/Trap.

Schmidt returned [w rabbit] to his field and set 2 Spells or Traps.

He attacked and Schmidt flipped [mf]. He Chained with [lance] on his Laggia and Schmidt banished Rabbit.

Schmidt Summoned Rabbit again and followed up with [tour]! He Summoned another one and Xyz Summoned [w maity]. Schmidt detached a Tour and He conceded right away to save time, as he knew it was over.[/div]

[div]He kicked off Duel 2 with [tkr] and 1 Spell/Trap.

Schmidt Set a monster and Spell or Trap of his own.

He Summoned [rabbit]! Schmidt Chained with [maxx] to draw some cards this turn as He Summoned 2 [kabaz] and then an [laggia], which declared an attack. Schmidt responded with [mst] on He’s Set card ([warning]). The Laggia crashed into a [reaper].

Schmidt Summoned [w rabbit] and Set a card.

He Summoned [tour]! That brought out another copy and Schmidt responded with [tt], which [laggia] negated. He Summoned [laggia], brought back [rabbit], which banished itself again to Summon 2 copies of [saurus]. He combined the 2 new monsters to Summon another [laggia] and ended his turn.

Schmidt Summoned [tour] and He Chained with [maxx]! [sangan] was Summoned and the 2 monsters combined to bring out [17]. [tkr] negated its Summon. Schmidt set a Spell/Trap.

He Summoned [saurus] and Laggia took down [w rabbit]. He then played [lance] to destroy Reaper and his other monsters attacked directly. He Set a card and lost it to [mst] in the End Phase.

Schmidt played [book], targeting the live Laggia, which was flipped down. Schmidt Summoned [w rat] and used its effect to Summon [w rabbit] before Xyz Summoning [w maity]. Zenmaity detached Rabbit as Schmidt Summoned another [w rat]. Rat revived [rabbit] before becoming a [17], which detached a material to take down the Set Laggia.

He used Leviair’s effect to bring back [rabbit] and overlaid it with [kabaz] to Summon [39], which was enough to take us to Duel 3![/div]

[div]Schmidt started Duel 3 as He asked “is my hand gone?”. It wasn’t as Schmidt passed!

He Summoned [tour] and Schmidt had no [maxx] either! [sangan] came out and He attacked with Tour Guide and discarded [maxx]. (Schmidt had [gorz] in hand too) He Set 1 Spell/Trap.

Schmidt Set a Spell or Trap Card.

He declared an attack with Tour Guide and Schmidt responded with [mst] to destroy [sj] before Summoning [gorz] and a Token. He cleared the field in [mp2], adding [rabbit] to his hand with [sangan]. He Summoned it, brought out 2 [kabaz] and Xyz Summoned [laggia] before Setting a card.

Schmidt Set a monster and 2 Spell/Traps, losing one of them to [mst] in the End Phase.

He Summoned [tkr] and took down [sangan] with Laggia before Thunder King attacked directly.

Schmidt passed.

He attacked with Laggia and negated the [fiendish] that was played, as [tkr] attacked for game![/div]
