[p]Both Raul Fernandez Guiscardo from Spain and Sami Sekkoum from the UK already knew they were going to attend Worlds. Still, there was the title of European Champion on the line and if you made it thus far, you wanna go all the way! Fernandez’ Worms yet had to let him down while Sekkoum’s Gravekeepers proved that they were a good choice for the tournament as well!

Fernandez won the die roll and opted to go first. He [ns]ed [xex] and Sekkoum was quick to discard [veiler]. 4 face-down Spells or Traps and Sekkoum was allowed to enter his first turn.

Another [duality] for Sekkoum found [stele]. He activated it to return [recruiter] and [gk des] to his hand.[recruiter] was Summoned and attacked into [prison], but a [bom] by Sekkoum flipped it face-down.

Fernandez was about to Set a monster, but he reconsidered his move. After a short while, he Set a card to each zone.

In his following turn, he [fs]ed [xex]. He [ns]ed [breaker] and even though Sekkoum had [bom], it wasn’t enough to stop all the attacks so Fernandez won the second Duel!

[gk com] was added to his hand for the effect of [recruiter] and discarded right away so he could search for [necrov]. [spy] was Tributed for the effect of [gk des], but Fernandez Chained the face-down card: [mst]! It destroyed [bom], which didn’t get Chained. [gk des] attacked over [cartaros] after [necrov] was activated. Sekkoum Set a Spell or Trap.[/p][p]

Fernandez used a dice to decide which card to destroy with [breaker]'[s] effect. He hit [sj]. He then attacked with the Spellcaster, but [prison] banished it. He passed.

[duality] from Sekkoum found him [necrov]. He thought long about taking [mf], but felt confident that this was the right move. Fernandez extended his hand, knowing that the Gravekeeper would now be powerful enough to deal the final points of damage!

Finally, Raul Fernandez’ Worms met their master. The cheerful Spanish Duelist already explained that Gravekeepers were his biggest enemy and Sami Sekkoum knew all the tricks his Deck provided him with. Let’s see how he will do in the finals against Michel Grüner!
