Top 8: Alexander Reed-Lofts (Bujin) vs. David Stephen (Harpie)
Top 8 and it’s all to play for! It’s not often we see off the wall Decks that usually don’t do so well being in the Top Cut. Now here we find two interesting Decks to matchup against! David Stephen brings us his Harpie Deck and Alexander Reed-Lofts is playing Bujin!
Reed-Lofts went first and [ns]ed [tkr]. He set three [fd] [sts] and ended.
Stephen set two [fd] [sts].
Reed-Lofts [ns]ed [ff bear] and [bth] was played. [lance] was chained and [ff bear] got [ff tenki]. Stephen played [fiendish] on [tkr] and Reed-Lofts played [ff tenki]. He got [bujin yam] and passed.
Stephen’s [pod] revealed [c harp] [tt] and [h party] then got [h party] to hand. He set two [fd] [sts].
Reed-Lofts attacked directly and [ff bear] got another [ff tenki]. [ff tenki] is played and gets [bujin mika] to hand. He set a Monster and passed.
Stephen [ns]ed [h chan] and activated [egotist]. He [ss]ed [c harp] and discarded [h dancer] for [h chan]’s effect. He [ss]ed [h lady 1] and passed. “That’s a problem” said Reed-Lofts nervously. Stephen then [xyz]ed [chidori] and [tkr]'[b]s[/b] effect is used to destroy it. He activated [h party] and [ss]ed [h dancer], [c harp] and [h lady 1] and he then [xyz]ed another [chidori]. Stephen attempted to activate its effect but it was negated with a [fiendish]. [chidori] and [h dancer] were banished from the Graveyard for [tdrag]. He attacked with [tdrag] and it was flipped with a [bom]. “A schoolboy mistake by Reed-Lofts” said Reed-Lofts. [c harp] attacked and destroyed [bujin quil]. “If I colour this in purple do I get a Game Loss for using [b]Bujingi Sinyou[/b]?” remarked Reed-Lofts. Stephen [xyz]ed [lchain] and detached to send [zephy] to the Graveyard. It was [ss]ed and he passed his turn.
Reed-Loft’s [ff bear]’s effect destroyed [lchain] and [ff bear] attacked [zephyros]. [ff tenki] came to the field and in [mp2] [ff tenki] got [bujin yam] to the field. He [xyz]ed [bujin kagut] and used its effect. He removed [bujin quil] to destroy [chidori].
Stephen played [h party] and [c harp], [h lady 1], [h dancer] and [h chan]. “I can’t Yu-Gi-Oh! for toffee today” sings Reed-Lofts. Stephen [xyz]ed [ibzerofyne] and detached for his effect. He then [xyz]ed a  and stole the [bujin kagut]. He flipped [tdrag] and attacked for game!
“You and I are going to have words! Note to self; take [bujin kagut] OUT of my Extra Deck and post it to Australia.” Reed-Lofts said sternly to his card.
Reed-Lofts played [ff tenki] to get [bujin yam] and played [pod] to reveal [lance], [turtle] and [ff tenki]. [lance] went to his hand. [bujin yam] was [ns]ed and [bujin mika] went to hand, [bujin turtle] was sent to the Graveyard. He set four [fd] [sts] and ended.
Stephen played [pod] and brought [h party] to hand. [hhg] hit the field and [c harp] was [ns]ed. Reed-Lofts’s [lance] was played targeting [bujin yam]. Stephen attacked and [bujin crane] is discarded. He set two [fd] [sts] and ended.
He attacked and in the End Phase got [bujin hare] into the Graveyard.
Stephen [ns]ed [h dancer] and destroyed a [fd] [vane]. [h party] is played [ss]ing [c harp] and [h dancer]. [hhg] destroyed a face-down [vane]. He attacked with [h dancer] and [bujin hare] was banished. [c harp] destroyed [bujin yam] and the rest attacked directly. [chidori] was [xyz]ed and [ff tenki] was bounced to the top of the Deck.
“WOAH WHAT A TOP DECK!” screamed Reed-Lofts. He played [ff tenki] and got [ff bear] to hand. He used [ff bear]’s effect to destroy [chidori]. He played [mind] on [h dancer] and [ff tenki] was set from the Deck. In [mp2] a second [h party] was activated and [h dancer] and [c harp] was [ss]ed. He used [hhg] to destroy the first [h party] which destroyed the [mind]ed [h dancer].
Stephen played [h lady 1] targeting [ff tenki] with [hhg]. He attacked and in [mp2] [xyz]ed [cowboy]. Reed-Lofts conceded!
