Name: Peter Gross

Age: 20

Hometown & Country: Vienna, Austria

What was your favorite card of the weekend?

Noisy Gnat in the Side Deck.

Have you entered any YCS tournaments before, and how did you do in them?

I won YCS Toulouse earlier this year, and in 2012 I won the Austrian Championship.

What do you think of the Sealed experience?

I really like it, it’s fun to play with these cards. Good players are successful, and all people have fun. Besides, it’s fast – and you can play Noisy Gnat, which doesn’t work in Constructed.

What was your favorite card of the weekend?

Today I’d say it was Cyber Jar. Yesterday, it was Mirror Force, which turned around 3 games for me.

Have you entered any YCS tournaments before, and how did you do in them?

I have been to many big tournaments so far. In 2009, I won the YCS in Orlando, USA, and in 2010 the European Championship.

What do you think of the Sealed experience?

I really like the Sealed Pack, especially because you don’t play against players which use too many powerful cards.

Name: Dan Nelson

Age: 23

Hometown & Country: Birmingham, UK

What was your favorite card of the weekend?

Yesterday is was Cyber Jar and Needle Ceiling. Today, Gaap the Divine Soldier. It just controls the field. People can’t go on the defense with it.

Have you participated in a YCS before?

I haven’t played Yu-Gi-Oh! in 2 years and only entered this time because it was Sealed.

What did you think of the Sealed experience?

It’s good. The set is quite balanced for it, and there are a few power cards. It was just about damage limitation, really. Not getting in a situation where one card can devastate you.

Name: Bradley Craig

Age: 15

Hometown & Country: Newcastle, England

What was your favorite card of the weekend?

Yaksha. Absolutely amazing. Ridiculous. You can just Set it, and people don’t realize. Then I flip it and use its effect, and they don’t understand, and start reading the card. Then I follow up with a big play.

Have you entered any YCS tournaments before, and how did you do in them?

This is my first YCS.

What did you think of the Sealed Experience?

I thought it was going to be bad at first. But once I got into it, it was absolutely magnificent. I thought it wouldn’t take a lot of skill; but once I started playing it, I realized it takes a lot of skill. You have to make reads and make the right plays.

What was your favorite card of the weekend?

Tragoedia. Tragoedia just changes games on the spot. It’s just ridiculously good, whether it’s just keeping you alive or stealing a monster. I never lost a match, even if I saw Tragoedia in one Duel.

Have you entered any YCS tournaments before, and how did you do in them?

This is my second YCS, my first one was Brighton last December. There, I was one win away from making Day 2.

What did you think of the Sealed Experience?

I really really enjoyed it. I love Sealed pool, I love drafting, and the set is perfectly crafted for it. It really tests a different set of skills. Every bit of play is that much more important when you’re playing with whatever you have. The best players end up on top.

Name: Simon He

Age: 22

Hometown & Country: Majesty, UK

What’s was your favorite card of the weekend?

Yesterday it was Gorz and Snatch Steal. Today it was Tragoedia and Jinzo.

Have you entered any YCS tournaments before, and how did you do in them?´

This year I went to YCS Leipzig and lost in Top 8. I came in second at YCS Long Beach. In YCS Toulouse, I made Top 16.

What did you think of the Sealed Experience?

The most nerve-racking moment is pretty much every first game. Every first game, when you try to make a decision, every face-down card can wreck you. Without any information about your opponent’s Deck, it’s really hard to make a decision. I didn’t pull the greatest cards, so I had to work really hard to overcome some of the Matches. It’s a really good competition. At first, everyone thought no one would turn up because it would be quite luck based. But every person’s Deck is either decent, or good, or very good. I’ve seen Decks that were poorly built, but no bad card pools.

Name: Luke Smythe

Age: 24

Hometown & Country: Sheffield, UK

What’s your favorite card of the weekend?

Offerings to the Doomed and Prideful Roar carried me through yesterday. I was extremely happy to see a Prideful Roar in the pack again today.

Have you entered any YCS tournaments before, and how did you do in them?

I participated in YCS Brighton. I started off 0-2, and then won 8 straight to end up in 33rd place with an 8-2 record.

What did you think of the Sealed experience?

I think it’s an excellent format. I hear a lot of people complaining about the luck factor based on pulls and number of forbidden cards you get in your boosters. But I say the number of known players in the Top 16 and Top 8 counters that argument quite well.

Name: Matt Goodridge

Age: 19

Hometown & Country: United Kingdom

What’s your favorite card of the weekend?

Gorz.

Have you entered any YCS tournaments before, and how did you do in them?

I made Top 32 at YCS Paris in 2011, Top 16 in the European Championship in 2011, and also in 2011 Top 32 in the UK Nationals.

What did you think of the Sealed experience?

I thought there was a lot of guesswork in Duel 1, but the overall experience was really entertaining.
