17.04.2011 | 15:45 |

Before they started the round, we asked the Top 8 players some questions. Let’s have a closer look at this YCS’s 8 best Duelists.

Lukas Prinz
20 years old
from Paderborn, Germany
Deck: Zombie
What was your toughest match at this YCS? “In general, everything was okay for me so far. But the toughest one was Gladiators in Round 7.”
Which is the best card in your Side Deck? “That’s difficult. In my main Deck, it’s Caius the Shadow Monarch. In my Side Deck it’s probably Puppet Plant against Samurais or Royal Oppression which is useful against many different Deck types.”

Luke Lennart
15 years old
from London, UK
Deck: X-Saber
What was your toughest match at this YCS? “The last one of the Swiss rounds against a Gladiator Beast Deck.”
Which is the best card in your Side Deck? Cyber Dragon. I used him in the Top 16 and Top 32 against Anti-Meta Decks.”

Peter Groß
18 years old
from Strasshof, Austria
Deck: Nostalgia-Chaos
What was your toughest match at this YCS? “Probably the second round. Not because of the Deck type but I was playing a French Dragon Deck and couldn’t read the cards.”
Which is the best card in your Side Deck? “My third Breaker the Magical Warrior.”

Vincent Ralambomiadana
22 years old
from Paris, France
Deck: Six Samurai
What was your toughest match at this YCS? “In Round 2 a played against an Italian who had a perfect X-Saber Deck. It was a mircale I won.”
Which is the best card in your Side Deck? Gorz the Emissary of Darkness. Not against a special Deck type, but generally when I did not have a good start in the round. He’s always a good surprise.”

Yohann Descamps
28 years old
from Paris, France
Deck: Six Samurai
What was your toughest match at this YCS? “That was in Round 4 when I played a Gemini Deck.”
Which is the best card in your Side Deck? It’s also Gorz the Emissary of Darkness because he’s useful in general, not just against a certain Deck.

Stephan Sluis
19 years old
from Rotterdam, Netherlands
Deck: X-Sabers
What was your toughest match at this YCS? “The Top 16 when I played against a Six Samurai Deck.
Which is the best card in your Side Deck? Malevolent Catastrophy that already helped me win many games. It’s useful against practically every Deck except Frog Monarchs.

T. M.
15 years old (and it’s his first YCS)
from Rennes, France
Deck: Chaos Plants
What was your toughest match at this YCS? “The match in Top 32 against X-Sabers, and also Gravekeepers in the Swiss rounds.
Which is the best card in your Side Deck? Chain Disappearance which is good against many different Decks like X-Sabers, Six Samurai or Dragunity. Another one is Malevolent Catastrophy which helps against Anti-Meta, Gladiator Beasts and Gravekeepers.”

Soner Güngör
22 years old
from Cologne, Germany
Deck: Six Samurai
What was your toughest match at this YCS? “Already the first round, against a Dragunity Deck.”
Which is the best card in your Side Deck? Dimensional Fissure. Especially when my opponent plays “Puppet Plant”.”
