Top Tables in Round 4
[p]I took an even closer look at the top tables during Round 4, looking for decks to feature in the rounds to come. I saw quite a few familiar faces, among them Luke Lennard, Stephan Sluis, Soner Güngör and Anthony Tutu. Head inside to learn more about what they’re bringing to the table this weekend!

The top tables were full of the decks that did well at the past YCS in Seattle: Mermails, Wind-Up, Dino Rabbit, Agents, you name it! Still, tables 7 and 8 caused quite a few passers-by to turn their heads as some of Europe’s most successful Duelists duked it out there!

I wasn’t surprised to see quite a few Duelists watching these matches, some of whom even videotaped them!

The first real surprise was Nicolas Petz, who you might remember from past events where he was having some success with the Watt archetype. This weekend, he’s decided to pilot a Ninja deck through the field, and at this point in time, he’s 4 – 0! Sounds like another candidate for a Feature Match to me already.

I was then pointed to table 19, where Teresa Vairo fought hard with a Hero Beat deck against one of the less creative choices in the field.

Right next to her, Joseph Easton, who’s usually wearing the judge colors, piloted his Prophecy Deck to a 4 – 0. Can he keep going and prove to the rest of Europe that judges are formidable contenders? I’ll definitely cross my fingers for him!

Those were all the more creative decks I could make out while the action was underway. There’s a very good chance that more players did well with interesting choices, but they might have been side decking while I was walking by. So let’s see how this will turn out with a few more rounds underway!
