Day 1 Deck Breakdown

The UK National Championships are well underway and generally when running feature matches we struggle to run different Deck matchups. This time it is a much different and many players are even coming up to the desk to tell us about off the wall Decks that are [i]winning[/i].

[header]”Other”[/header]
Looking at today’s meta has really given me hope again that diversity is the rule in this meta. Other actually is comprised of [i]thirty-nine[/i] different Deck Types! They range from Gishki, Gagaga, Six Samurai and even Gladiator Beasts! You’d think that the Decks in this section wouldn’t be doing too well in the tournament but you’d be wrong! Check out some of the previous feature matches and see for yourself!

[header]Geargia and Mermail[/header]
Geargia and Mermail are still ruling as a major player in the meta, I can see after this weekend however that they may start pattering out to stronger faster Decks like Infernity as said by previous Nationals winner Tom Paine.

[header]Dragon, Bujin and Evilswarm[/header]
Dragon Rulers still rule some games! There’s a new type of Dragon Rulers which utilises [bewd] and has become quite popular. The Deck can give as good as it gets so we may see this in the top 32 for sure! Bujin are still running strong with their toolbox tech and Evilswarm still have their [ophion]!

[header]The Rest[/header]
Infernity are definitely wrecking their opponents and we may see (last year’s Champion) Tom Paine in the Top 32 powering through with it. Noble Knight and Madolche have always been a favourite of mine but can’t really stand up in this meta. Hopefully Noble Knight will get some boosts by its new support in [i]Primal Origin[/i]! I’ll be reporting on some players’ findings of [i]Primal Origin[/i] later in the event so keep reading for that!
