Hello and welcome to Dublin! For the first time ever the Dueling circuit is stopping in the capital city of Ireland. The city is known for its culture and friendly people and the staff team already had a good time getting familiar with local culture.

However, this weekend the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG has taken over for the biggest European-scale event of the year: the 2015 WCQ: European Championship. It’s the clash of the champions battling out for the title of European Champion and one of four spots at this year’s World Championship.

In order to compete at this high scale event, players needed to qualify in World Championship Qualifier tournaments, which were held throughout the year. As usual springtime was “National Season” and we have most of the National Champions here in Dublin taking a shot at the title. The top four Duelists from this weekend will then be invited and flown to this year’s World Championships in Kyoto, Japan. There they will face off against successful competitors from the rest of the globe to determine the true champion for 2015.

We have a total of 785 players registered for the Main Event. We are going to play 8 Rounds of Swiss today and another 2 tomorrow. After that we will cut to Top 64 and play another 6 knock-out Rounds until we have a new European Champion.
