Good morning Duelists and welcome to Day 2 of the WCQ: European Championship 2011 here in Madrid. Yesterday we saw plenty of action at the top tables, as Europe’s top Duelists compete for the title of European Champion and the right to represent their nation (and all of Europe) at next month’s World Championship in Amsterdam.

Today we’ve got the final 3 rounds of swiss play before the top 64 Duelists of the weekend take each other on in the playoffs on their way to the Final. These Duelists will have to win 6 matches in a row to become this year’s European Champion, the ultimate test for any Duelist as they’ll be facing the best in the land; National Champions, YCS winners, former World Championship competitors, making your way through these will not be easy, but that’s exactly what one Duelist will do today.

As well as the battle to become European Champion, there’s also the opportunity to become one of this year’s World Championship competitors, and we’ll know who those 4 Duelists are when we reach the Semi-Final stage. Many previous European Champions and World Championship competitors will tell you that the Quarter-Final of a WCQ is the most important match they’ve ever played, as the reward for victory at this stage is huge, and the Duelists that made it all the way to the World Championship are seen by everybody as the best Duelists in the world!

Just like yesterday you can expect to see Doppel Junk, Tengu Plant, X-Sabers, Six Samurai and several other Decks face off against each other as Europe’s finest go in search of fame and glory, and we’ll be covering all the action here live as it happens. We’ll also fill you in on what’s happening over in North America as their WCQ is also coming to its climax today to sit back and enjoy another incredible day of Dueling!
