Hello once again everyone and welcome back to Frankfurt for Day 2 of this year’s European Championship! Yesterday we saw Duelists from all over the continent compete against one another in a bid to become this year’s European Champion, and now we’re down to the final few.

We're back at the Messe for the biggest Duels of the year.

[br]
Today we’ve got the final 3 rounds of Swiss play before the Top 64 Duelists of the weekend take each other on in the playoffs on their way to the Final. These Duelists will have to win 6 Matches in a row to become this year’s European Champion, the ultimate test for any Duelist as they’ll be facing the best in the land; National Champions, YCS winners, former World Championship competitors. Making your way through these will not be easy, but that’s exactly what one Duelist will do today.

As well as the battle to become European Champion, there’s also the opportunity to become one of this year’s World Championship competitors, and we’ll know who those 4 Duelists are when we reach the Semi-Final stage. Many previous European Champions and World Championship competitors will tell you that the Quarter-Final of a WCQ is the most important Match they’ve ever played, as the reward for victory at this stage is huge, and the Duelists that made it all the way to the World Championship are seen by everybody as the best Duelists in the world.

There will be many enthralling Duels taking place today.

The 4 who make it to the end will not only be considered amongst the greatest Duelists in Europe, they will also be competing in this year’s Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship, in Las Vegas in August. Waiting for them there will be the strongest Duelists from all over the world, Duelists from such far-away places as America, Asia and Oceania. It’s the ultimate test of a Duelist’s skills, and those who are still in contention at the start of today’s action will be hoping that they get the opportunity to compete on the biggest stage of all.

As always, we’ll be here every step of the way, with Feature Matches, analysis and all of the latest updates from Day 2 of the European Championship. It’s going to be a day to remember, so whether you’re competing here in Frankfurt or reading from home, we hope you enjoy the show!
