Welcome to the 2014 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG World Championship!

Greetings Duelists from around the world, and welcome to our live coverage of the ultimate contest, the 2014 Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG World Championship!

Over the next 2 days, 33 competitors from the far corners of the Earth will do battle to determine who is the ultimate Duelist of 2014. These highly skilled individuals have earned the right to compete here by succeeding in Regional, National and Continental level events and are now only 2 days away from seeing if they can become the next “King of Games”.

22 Duelists will compete in the Senior division today, including last year’s World Champion from Taiwan, Shin-En Huang. The 2013 Dragon Duel World Champion, Oliver Tomajko from the United States, will also be competing in the Senior Division this year, which means there’s a possibility of a World Champion v World Champion Matchup on our hands.

11 junior Duelists will be competing in the 2014 Dragon Duel World Championship. Just like their senior counterparts, they have had to earn their qualifications via Regional, National and Continental-level events, and the Duels are guaranteed to be as closely fought as those in the older division.
