Welcome to the WCQ: European Championship 2010!

The largest European Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG event of 2010 is finally here! Duelists from all over Europe competed in 22 World Championship Qualifier events in their native countries to make it here today, and by the end of this weekend’s action 4 lucky Duelists will earn the chance to represent Europe at the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME World Championship next month in Long Beach, California.

A wide variety of Decks will be on display this weekend, with many Duelists looking for that little bit of an edge that will take them all the way. On top of established Decks such as X-Sabers, Infernities and Frog variants, we will also see innovative choices such as Disaster Dragon, Quickdraw Dandywarrior and much, much more.

To go with a big event we also have big prizes! The Top 4 players at the end of the event will travel to the United States for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME World Championship in August, and the Top 64 players will also receive an exclusive playmat. On top of that, the Top 32 Duelists will also receive a copy of Dark End Dragon, with the European Champion getting a second copy!

The WCQ: European Championship will also be the first chance for European Duelists to see the new Hidden Arsenal 2 and Turbo Pack 3 Booster Sets in the many Public Events that are run during the weekend. With all-new cards such as Naturia Beast, Fabled Grimro and Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier in Hidden Arsenal 2, as well as highly desirable reprints of Rescue Cat, Gladiator Beast Retiari and XX-Saber Faultroll in Turbo Pack 3, there will be many new things for attendees to experience this weekend.

With close to 200 of Europe’s finest Duelists on show this weekend, expect to see lots of exciting Duels, innovative Decks and stand-out moments, and you can catch it all here LIVE as it happens. Welcome to Birmingham and welcome to the WCQ: European Championship 2010!
