Welcome to YCS Barcelona!

[p]Good morning fellow Duelists and welcome to Spain! Today’s YCS in Barcelona marks the final major event of the year, while also being the first Advanced Format YCS to be held in Europe in this format. Duelists have been spending the last few months fine tuning their Decks and now it’s time to see how well they’ll perform.[/p]

Duelists are treated to some incredible architecture right outside the venue.

[p]Today’s YCS is the first time that European Duelists will show off their Decks on the international stage in the current format; however, there is plenty of information out there on what we can expect to see. Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series events have been taking place in America over the past few months and we’ve seen several Decks at the top tables, including some unexpected hits. European Duelists are known for their creativity so we could see something unique make the Top Cut tomorrow, along with the Decks we all know.[/p]

This event is taking place smack dab in the centre of Barcelona!

[p]YCS Barcelona has a truly international flavour to it, with Duelists travelling from far and wide to compete. In addition to seeing Duelists from Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy and the UK as expected, yesterday’s on-site early registration saw Duelists sign up from smaller European Dueling communities like Ireland, and even from as far away as the United States. Some of America’s most popular and well-known Duelists have made the trip to Barcelona and we may see them towards the latter stages of the event. For a lot of people the YCS is an entirely new experience, and there are several first-timers present.[/p]
[p]Over the next 2 days we will see many impressive Decks, Duels and everybody will have their own story to tell. Who will be telling the story of how they won the YCS though? We’ll have to wait and find out, but for now; IT’S TIME TO DUEL![/p]
