[p]Good morning everyone and welcome to YCS Lille! Duelists from all over Europe have descended on Northern France in order to become the latest person to take home a copy of [dig] and the YCS title.[/p]

The Lille Grand Palais is one of France's biggest venues!

The Lille Grand Palais is one of France's biggest venues!

[br][p]This weekend’s YCS is being held in Lille, a French city near the Belgian border and easily accessible from Paris, London, Brussels and Amsterdam via the EuroStar train. It’s the first major French event since YCS Toulouse last year and was also the location of the 2009 European Championship.[/p]
[p]As the first YCS of the current Advanced Format, many Duelists will be eager to show off the new Decks and strategies they have developed over the past few months. Although Wind-Ups were the most powerful Deck present at YCS Bochum, the Forbidden & Limited Cards List has completely changed how the Deck functions, and it’ll be interesting to see if any Wind-Ups can still make it to the playoffs. Fire Fist and Mermail finished the previous format in a strong position, and are the early favourites in terms of overall victory.[/p]

[br][p]The list of available cards has also changed since YCS Bochum, and could shake things up a bit. The Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal Collection Tin features many new cards including the mighty Number 61: Volcasaurus, and other recent products include several reprints to make the top decks easier to build.[/p]
[p]As always, we’ll be bringing you all the action from this weekend’s event as it happens, including Deck Features, Feature Matches and all the action from the Public Events. Whether you’re competing here in Lille or reading at home, we hope you all enjoy the next 2 days of Dueling action. Let the games begin![/p]
