YCS Duelist Diary Update #1

[p]
3 rounds have passed and it’s time for an update regarding our players that we wanted to highlight this weekend with the YCS Duelist Diary!

[p]
First in line is our French powerhouse Vincent Ralambomiadana. He’s currently sitting on a 2 – 1 record, so he still has a shot at making day 2. Asked about what happened, he told me that he lost to Dino Rabbit. While he only had a [mst] face-down, his opponent had [leviair] and [laggia] together with 2 face-down back row cards. Vincent wanted to start his comeback with [reborn] and [gorz] waiting on his hand.
[/p][p]
[leviair] attacked directly and Vincent let the attack go through. [laggia] followed and Vincent activated [mst], hitting [lance]. Unfortunately, the other back row card of his opponent was revealed to be [warning], which meant [gorz] would never hit the field! [reborn] was negated by [laggia] next turn, which meant that Vincent had no chance to turn the game around! “It was a 50 – 50 and I hit the wrong card. It happens, so I’m still all good.”, was all that Vincent had to say about it.

Rodrigo Togores on the other hand is having quite the run. His record is an impressive 3 – 0 and he’s only lost a single game so far! It was against a Six Samurai player who had [naturia beast] and [shi en] on the field. Rodrigo was able to get rid of [naturia beast], however, when his [gaia] was met with [bth], his opponent had no trouble dictating the pace of the game thanks to [shi en]. In the end, it didn’t really make a difference as Rodrigo was still able to win the remaining 2 games.

I asked Remy how he was doing and this is what he had to say:

[p]It’s going great so far! My opponent didn’t come prepared during round 3 and received a Game Loss after a Deck Check. He had a ridiculous hand in the second game, so he quickly equaled the score. The third game, I drew a great hand and had [chain], [fiendish], [bom] and [warning] in my back row with [shi en] on the field! There was no way I was going to lose that game, so I’m 3 – 0 now!

[p]You may also want to check out our Round 3 Feature Match where Remy overcame Patrick Hoffman’s Dino Rabbit Deck.

Our last YCS Diary Duelist is Edgar Valdez Mercedes. He is not that happy with his performance so far as he had to take some rough losses the first 3 rounds. He is a bit disappointed by his 0 – 3, but he’ll continue to play in the Main Event and focus on the Public Events tomorrow. Quite the spirit if you ask me and we hope that he’ll learn a few things in the remaining rounds so he can come out winning some cool prizes in the Public Events tomorrow.
