How do you feel right now? Fantastic! I finally won the card I always wanted to win. It is my first Giant Card and I’m going to put in my wall and look at it.
What Deck did play today? Sky Striker Pure – it’s the most solid Deck, be it going 1st or 2nd. Sometimes you struggle if you open a bad hand, but it was the best choice going into this event. The new tin promos killed Thunder Dragon, so I switched to Sky Striker again.
How do you feel about the Public Events in general? The events are really amazing. I had a good time being here.
Any last words? If you try hard and not give up you will always get what you want. That’s my advice to anyone in life.

Anestis

Name: Anestis Xanidis
Age: 24
Country: Greece
How do you feel right now? Excited! I feel like the side events are a great opportunity to redeem yourself after the main. It’s my first Giant Card and I’m very happy with it.
What Deck did play today? Lunalight Orcust – it is the Deck that has the highest ceiling and has a crazy turn 1 combo that plays through almost all handtraps and ends on Eradicator.
How do you feel about the Public Events in general? As I said: they are a great chance to redeem yourself.
Any last words? Shoutouts to my Team E-Man Games, all my friends from Greece and my girlfriend.

Harry

Name: Harry Whisler
Age: 22
Country: UK
How do you feel right now? I’m happy to have won! I’m enjoying to play Yu-Gi-Oh! right now, it’s a good time to play the game.
What Deck did play today? Lunalight Orcust – it’s the best of the Orcust variants. I would have played Striker, but I feel like it is not strong enough.
How do you feel about the Public Events in general? I would have rather been playing in the Main Event and won there. But they are definitely a good addition to the overall YCS experience.
Any last words? Shoutouts to my Team Shift from the UK.

Dinh-Kha

Name: Dinh-Kha Bui
Age: 23
Country: Germany
How do you feel right now? Quite good! I dropped out early of the main event and decided to play the Mega Regional. I was a lot less unlucky at this event and ended up winning this great Giant Card.
What Deck did play today? Lunalight Orcust, it’s the best Deck in the current format.
How do you feel about the Public Events in general? They are great! It’s a way to redeem yourself and take something home even if the main event didn’t go that well.
Any last words? Shoutouts to my Team Junks Playground, to my locals BB-Land Berlin and to Jack, Johannes, who still in the top 4 in the Main Event, Eike Fecht, Chung and Oz.

Nuri

Name: Nuri Dehmeche
Age: 23
Country: Germany
How do you feel right now? I currently struggle for words. I’m happy excited and also relieved that I was able to take home this great prize card.
What Deck did play today? Salamangreat! I took a break and came back to playtest with Eike Fecht. We tried Lunalight Orcust for the main event. It didn’t go that well, then I played the Double Up with Salamangreat and felt a lot more confident with it.
How do you feel about the Public Events in general? I’m happy that there are more chances to win something. It’s not very likely for me to make it top 32 in the Main Event, so this is a great to redeem myself.
Any last words? Shoutouts to Marcel Blom, Vino and Dennis that are here with me. Great support, great times, thanks a lot.

Luca

Name: Luca Giulio Benuzzi
Age: 21
Country: Italy live in Spain
How do you feel right now? I’m feeling exited but also frustrated at the same time. I won almost all my matches 2:0, but running Sky Striker you always risk drawing matches. You never know if you are able to win before going into time. It’s a lottery. To me it worked out since I was able to get the best Giant Card overall. In the end the lottery paid off.
What Deck did play today? Sky Striker – it is most consistent Deck in the current meta. I built it with some other guys that made the top cut in the main event. We run one Metaverse and one Mystic Mine. It increases the chances of having a floodgate and since many have cut Twin Twisters from their Side Decks it won me at least 3 games.
How do you feel about the Public Events in general? I think they are cool, but there is room for improvement. If you draw once your points are literally dead. The prize points are great!
Any last words? “Vecho duro fes!“ shoutouts to the friends that came with me and all of the Italian community, especially Pietro Canal.

Zahab

Name: Zahab Shah
Age: 23
Country: UK
How do you feel right now? I feel pretty good, it’s my second giant card. The whole event was great fun.
What Deck did play today? Sky Striker – it is all around the best Deck in the format.
How do you feel about the Public Events in general? They are a fun way to spend the weekend. The new 3v3 is a great addition. I would really love to see a Team YCS in Europe someday.
Any last words? Shoutouts to all my friend that travel with and to my Team Tier Zero games.

How do you feel right now? Great, I won my 1st Giant Card and it feels great.
What Deck did play today? Sky Striker, everybody is prepared for Orcust. Striker is not as prone to interruption as Orcust is, so I decided to run it again for this event.
How do you feel about the Public Events in general? They are a great addition and I like the new Points System, where you can choose which prize you want.
Any last words? Shoutouts to all of my friends that came here with me.
