Jesse Kotton

Name: Jesse Kotton
Age: 17
Country: Toronto, Canada
What Deck are you playing today? SPYRAL – it’s the most powerful Deck in the current metagame.
How do you feel about your chances of winning today? Pretty good, I have good Deck. Last weekend I attended YCS Dallas and had a good practice.
Any tech cards you want to let the world know about? I maindeck Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries and [gamma] mainly for the mirror and I side three Solemn Strike and Solemn Scolding. I chose to go second and after siding I decide to go first.
Final words? Shoutouts to Team PPG.

Erikos Bek

Name: Erikos Bek
Age: 20
Country: Athens, Greece
What Deck are you playing today? SPYRAL – because it is the best Deck. It can go first or second. I feel like the field spell is the most broken card in the Deck.
How do you feel about your chances of winning today? I play solid, my list is good, I think I have a shot at the win. But I will take one step at a time.
Any tech cards you want to let the world know about? I maindeck Set Rotation. I won a lot of games thanks to it by locking my opponents field spell zone.
Final words? Shoutouts to all my friends back in Greece and here in London that support me. You are really helpful.

JY Sharif

Name: JY Sharif
Age: 19
Country: UK, Milton Keynes
What Deck are you playing today? SPYRAL – every other Deck is fake.
How do you feel about your chances of winning today? Honestly, I don’t know yet. The format is not that great. There is a high variance, but I will try my best.
Any tech cards you want to let the world know about? PSY-Framegear Gamma for the Mirror and Dimensional Barrier for Invoked and Pendulum. I won all of my rogue matches.
Final words? Shoutouts to Andrew Swann and The Round Table

Herman Hensson

Name: Herman Hansson
Age: 18
Country: Sweden
What Deck are you playing today? SPYRAL – I had the Deck since the cards were released in The Dark Illusion almost a year ago. The Deck can do the same like before but it gained a lot of consistence due to Double Helix. A field consisting of the boss monster SPYRAL Sleeper equipped with the SPYRAL GEAR – Last Resort is almost unbreakable.
How do you feel about your chances of winning today? I don’t know. It is my first YCS top and I’m very excited. The last time a Swedish guy won was back in 2012 and would be very proud to repeat his success.
Any tech cards you want to let the world know about? I side three Mind Crush against any Deck that searches. The card is Chainable and won me a couple of games. The games I lost, I would have won with it.
Final words? Shoutouts to my Team Frozen Card Gaming and all of the other Swedish players that showed up.

Mario

Name: Mario Argiró
Age: 27
Country: Italy, San Salvo
What Deck are you playing today? Invoked – I decided to play the Deck, because it is one of my favourite Decks. It is great fun to play and one of the competitive alternatives to SPYRAL. The Deck can maindeck a lot of handtraps without dissolving its key strategy.
How do you feel about your chances of winning today? It is my first top which I’m very happy about. Of course I would love to win, but my chances are as high as anybody else’s in the Top 8.
Any tech cards you want to let the world know about? don’t have tech cards, but I love Blackwing - Gofu the Vague Shadow, because it can extend my plays.
Final words? Shoutouts to my family and to the Blaze Phoenix Team

Jonas Koschel

Name: Jonas Koschel
Age: 19
Country: Germany, Bochum
What Deck are you playing today? SPYRAL – it’s the best Deck. YCS Dallas set the trend and I decided to pick the most successful.
How do you feel about your chances of winning today? I might as will win the whole thing.
Any tech cards you want to let the world know about? I added PSY-Framegear Gamma to my maindeck. Set Rotation in my Side Deck put in some work as well
Final words? Shoutouts to all the guy that lend me cards and came here with me. Shoutouts to Team Trent.

Michael Forner

Name: Michael Forner
Age: 16
Country: Italy, Asolo
What Deck are you playing today? Burning Abyss – people are playing 10 or more handtraps and I decided to choose a Deck that does not get hurt by handtraps. I feel like it was a very good pick.
How do you feel about your chances of winning today? I’m going to play round by round and give my best. We’ll see…
Any tech cards you want to let the world know about? The whole Deck is basically a tech card.
Final words? None

Tim Cox

Name: Tim Cox
Age: 20
Country: UK, Plymouth
What Deck are you playing today? SPYRAL – it’s broken and all of friends decided to run the Deck. We tested a lot and ended up with this list.
How do you feel about your chances of winning today? Pretty good, I’m the best and luckiest player in the Top 8. Now seriously: everybody has a chance to win!
Any tech cards you want to let the world know about? My build is pretty standard and served me well.
Final words? Shoutouts to the British Hero, MFM, Antics, Finn Howard, Callum Williams, Liam Millington, Kali McMoron, Luke Webber, Mason Hole, Brad Haywood, mom and dad and my dog, Luke Parks and Carlo Wotten.
